To the right is an image of several small and one moderate sized disc protrusion in a lumbar spine of a 38 year old woman suffering from right leg pain and weakness. Her symptoms had failed to respond to traditional high dose epidural steroid injections. We treated this patient with growth factors derived from her platelets  (injected via  transforaminal epidural approach.) You can see the disappearance of the disc bulges on the second image. Her leg pain and weakness resolved as well and she remains pain free at this time.
